"And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of. And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him." HOME CALL
Br. Samuel Babu, Believers Brethren Assembly, (BBA), Majlis - Bahrain For the last few days, we have been relentlessly praying for Br. Samuel Babu, who suffered Cardiac Problems and was admitted in Salmaniya Medical Complex, Bahrain. It was well pleasing for our Lord to call HIS child to the Eternal Home, where there is no pain, no sorrow, no tears, no sickness and no death. He went to be with the LORD around 10:30 PM Bahrain Time today (Friday 23rd 2015). Let us uphold the grieving family members to the Throne of Grace. May the Lord bestow upon them heavenly Grace, Peace and strength and console them with the word of God.

FOOT PRINTS & MISSION FIELDS

Know your Ambassadors and their needs

(A brief account of Bro. Rajan Thomas’s ministry trip to Gujarat and Mumbai)

It is always good to pray for our missionaries and mission fields. Rather easy, may be. Often, we pray with a vague perception. What is actually happening at the forefront? The picture is often different and even unbelievable.

Our missionaries often respond to us only in a few lines about their lives because of which we do not get the right picture. As often, they are a bit hesitant to say everything about their needs and situations.

Travel with me to a few areas of Gujarat, the western state of India, where our Lord’s servants toil and the assemblies survive and grow amidst several adverse circumstances.

This is a visualized report of my week and a half long travel ministry to various assemblies from Vapi to Baroda in Gujarat.

Here are a few children of our evangelists who gathered for a Family Conference at Vapi on 26th October 2007.

These smiling buds live on necessities, not even in any extra comforts while our children are often provided with luxurious life styles. Often these families struggle for their education, health, etc.

What is your response to their innocent smiles?

Teach your children to sacrifice at least some of their luxuries and participate in supporting them.

While their husbands are painstakingly involved in the pioneer church planting ministry, these efficient women struggle hard to support them.

They deserve your special prayers. Sisters, once in a while you try to place yourselves in their position. How would you feel?

Br. Jose Dali commenced a pioneering work based in Vapi and established a strong assembly. With the help of believers all around the world, a plot was acquired and an assembly hall was constructed. It now facilitates the gathering of several retreats and meetings of the assemblies between Umargaon & Baroda.

A dire need

As several assembly work progresses in the industrial belt, it is indispensable to have more intensive teaching of the Word of God in order to establish the newly born again believers from North Indian backgrounds. It is not practical that such believers opt to go for long term Bible studies in a Bible school or college.

At the same time, there are several able evangelists and Bible teachers available to teach the Word of God effectively such as Bro. N.G. John (Baroda) Bro. N.Raghu (Surat), Bro. Jose Dali (Vapi), etc.

Therefore, there is a general consensus among the evangelists that short term Bible courses prolonging two weeks to three months are more effective. At the moment, there is no such facility available in that area for 20 – 30 people to stay together for such a period.

The classes can be very well conducted in the assembly hall of Vapi, however the question of accommodation arises. The problem will be solved if the terrace of the assembly hall is converted into five or six rooms with sanitation facilities.  Two rooms have been already constructed where the visiting Lord’s servants stay.

With my rough estimation background, it may cost between 8 to 10 lakhs of Indian rupees. The utility will be great if such a premise is constructed.

I know that you pray for these areas, but how about becoming a partner of the ministries of the evangelistic and church planting ministries in the industrial belt of Gujarat?

If you are burdened so, please be in contact with Bro. Jose Dali in the following address:

Twenty years ago, Bro. N.G. John left his lucrative job with Doha Airport Services and started serving the Lord in Gujarat. As an author and strong Bible teacher, his ministries are not only limited to Baroda but also to the other areas of Gujarat.

Our dear brother has developed a very strong outreach ministry and planted an assembly at Bharuch. There are several satellite outreach ministries around the area under his leadership.

Subsequently, he completed the biblical studies with Bharat Bible College, Hyderabad and has been serving the Lord in Surat for the past 15 years. Our dear brother is a strong Bible teacher. Evg. The next station of my visit was NAVSARI where Bro. Shaji Varghese with his family serve the Lord. He is a graduate of BBI, Pathanamthitta.

Bro. Anthony T.V with his family serves the Lord at ANKLESHWAR. The assembly work is growing with several of newly born again believers from Gujarat, Maharashtra and other parts of India are fellowshipping together.

Evg. Rajumon A.S is our pioneer at a hill station called Silvassa. I found the assembly very active and growing.

They represent you and me in the Field.  In fact, they toil for the Lord on behalf of you.  Of course we pray, but that might not be at any cost.  Why can’t send a postcard of encouragement, they would value it a lot.  How about their Family?  These Servants of the Lord are no way inferior to us even in education or ability. Most of them left their secular positions.  Who will support their needs?  Do not look around for an answer.  The answer should be from YOU.  Just cut of certain luxuries or even comforts, you would find source to support them.  Of course, if YOU are not responding, God would certainly provide for them in His own ways.  But you would loose the partnership blessings of the ministries they carry out at the forefront.

I have found that those assemblies are comprised with Believers who are poor and needy.  Probably your support would he shared even to them by those Lord’s servants.

WHAT IS YOUR RESPONSE?
