"And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of. And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him." (Gen.22:2-3)

Br. Samuel Babu, Believers Brethren Assembly, (BBA), Majlis - Bahrain For the last few days, we have been relentlessly praying for Br. Samuel Babu, who suffered Cardiac Problems and was admitted in Salmaniya Medical Complex, Bahrain. It was well pleasing for our Lord to call HIS child to the Eternal Home, where there is no pain, no sorrow, no tears, no sickness and no death. He went to be with the LORD around 10:30 PM Bahrain Time today (Friday 23rd 2015). Let us uphold the grieving family members to the Throne of Grace. May the Lord bestow upon them heavenly Grace, Peace and strength and console them with the word of God.

Bro. Rajan Thomas, Bahrain

All Believers are baptized by the Holy Spirit (1Cor. 12: 13). The Holy Spirit brings a person to a born again experience. As soon as one has accepted Chr1's Lordship in their life by confessing his sins, the Holy Spirit starts dwelling in Him. Rom.8:9, Rom 5:5, Rom 8:15, 8:23, 1Cor.2:12, 2Cor.1:22, Gal. 3:2, 1John 3:24, 1John 4:13, etc.

However, one has to be filled by the Holy Spirit. Read Eph 5:18. "And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit".

Why the mention of 'drunk with wine' when speaking about the filling of the Holy Spirit? Paul portrays a contrast over here. Wine was extensively used both as a normal drink and also as an intoxicating drink. While used it as an intoxicating drink, the drunkard becomes totally influenced and controlled by the drink. In contrast to such a scene, it is taught that all Believers are to be influenced and controlled by the Holy Spirit.

The result of a Spirit filled life would evidence in one’s life first internally and then flow outward. Read Eph 5: 19 & 20

“Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;

Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ"

Read also Galatians 5: 16 “This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh." And in Gal 5:22 & 23 we read the total outcome of the Spirit filled life:

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law”

Let me conclude this answer by saying that a Spirit filled life is the total style expected by God from a believer.
