 N. P Gangadharan was born and brought up in a Hindu family. He is a native of Varenickal, Mavelikara of Alappuzha district. He accepted the Lord on 18-02-2000 at a place named Kunnam. He was baptized along with his family on 02-03-2000 and had fellowship with Mavelikara Brethren Assembly. He began the ministry of the Lord at Varenickal as the direction was given by the Lord through the servant of God M. M. Zechariah.

            During 2003-2004, God gave him an opportunity to study the Word of God at Bethany Bible School, Kumbanadu. In February 2005, a convention and open air meetings were held at Varenickkal under the leadership of Brethren Bible Institute, Pathanamthitta. Many people could hear the gospel and few accepted the Lord as a result of this ministry. An assembly testimony was started at Varenickal with 6 people from 3 houses on 2^nd September 2007. Later seven more were baptized. Now 13 of them from 6 houses partake from the Lord’s Supper. Many who are not yet baptized are also attending the church meetings and Bible classes. All the believers and seekers are from Hindu background. Lord’s servants from nearby places such as, Dr. K.C. Johnson, Wilson. K. Thomas, George Chacko, Jacob Thomas and V. Joseph are helping in the growth of the church from the beginning. Bro. K. George (Marayoor, Munnar) and Bro. Davidson (Pullad) also helped the assembly in the past through preaching ministry.

            Bro. Gangadharan was a mechanic. After demolishing the workshop, he made a temporary tent at Varenickal. The Lord’s work at Varenickal began by staying in this shed. A part of the shed was used as the gathering place for the church. This place was insufficient for the church gathering. So the construction of the church ( 40 x 22) and a residence for the Evangelist began in a plot of 10 cent owned by Bro. Gangadharan. Dr. O.M Samuel prayed and thus began the construction works on September 2, 2009. Now the work reached upto the lintel level. The materials for the construction such as, stones, timbers, iron bars were gathered by brother Gangadharan himself.

All the believers in this church are financially poor but they have contributed what they could.
